The book of James tells us a lot about wisdom. Who doesn’t want to be wise in the decisions they make? What does it take to become wise? Wisdom from heaven is far above our natural abilities. James gives us a litmus test for wisdom that helps us determine how close or far away we are from what God knows is best. But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness (James 3:17-18).
